Chief Executive Officer JTFRP Inspected Emergency Operation Centre (EOC) at Humhama.

Srinagar, October 14:

Chief Executive Officer, Jhelum &Tawi Flood Recovery Project (JTFRP), Saurabh Bhagat inspected the Emergency Operation Centre located at Humhama, in order to make it functional to handle all emergencies and disasters. He was accompanied by Commandant General (DGP) SDRF Dilbagh Singh, Deputy Commissioner Budgam Mohammed Haroon Malik, Sr supdt of Police Budgam Tejinder Singh, Additional Commissioner Kashmir Dr Abdul Salaam Mir, Director Disaster Management Aamir Ali, Commandant SDRF Bashir Ahmed Sofi, Tehsildar Budgam, General Manager JKPCC and other senior officers.

The State Cabinet recently transferred appx 50 kanals of land to the Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (DMRRR) for establishing State level Emergency Operation Centre.

JKPCC was advised to prepare the conceptual plan, keeping in mind the future requirements.

In the meantime, the interim EOC which has been established in a make shift temporary structure was ordered to be made functional by installing communication facilities including satellite phone, hotlines and wireless network with all Districts
